Quickie: A retired car thief puts his old career back in high gear by setting out to steal fifty cars in three days…or his baby brother's dead meat. If saving a sibling's life means driving all those hot cars…then take my sibling…please!!

Turn-Ons:

  • Got A.D.D. (Attention Deficit Disorder)? This should cure it…at least, for 119 or so minutes. The pace of the movie goes about as fast as the cars in it. Don't blink! You might miss something!.
  • If you're like me, then you like action movies to have a plot…sort of. Well, "Gone In Sixty Seconds" actually has one. I know! I was surprised, too!
  • If you're like me, then you're curious as to how those lucky bastards steal those sweet cars. "Gone In Sixty Seconds" shows you…sort of.
  • Got a thing for Angelina Jolie? Have you always wanted to see girls go at it? It's your lucky day. You can watch Angelina Jolie get the ride of her life…from a lady. Watch the movie. You'll know what I mean.
  • You get to see...and hear (make sure you go to a theatre with a good sound system)... some of the world's finest precison-made automobiles.

Turn-Offs:

  • You might feel physical pain watching some really gorgeous cars get mangled. Oh, the blasphemy! The tragedy!!
  • Guru Mumu: If you're like me, then you find Giovanni Ribisi to be as entertaining as shaving your armpits. Guru Dudu, who thinks Ribisi is a fine actor, begs to differ. I beg Ribisi to stop making films.
  • Nicolas Cage does his trademark grimaces, blank stares, and Chubaka-ish grunts. If you call that acting, then anyone can get an Oscar!
  • If you've ever gotten your car stolen, this movie might make you cry. So make yourself feel better by stealing someone else's!! Hehehehe…

Is your heart pounding? Are you breaking into a sweat? Are you tense all over? No, it's not a heart attack. It's just "Gone In Sixty Seconds" taking you for the ride of your life. The movie's pace is as slow as Freddie Prinze Jr.'s love life in the movie…perhaps even slower.

I think the brake pedal was broken!! Who needs brakes anyway?!

First of, just the fact that the movie even had one deserves great praise. And the one that it had…ain't half bad.

3

plot/story

4

The movie has a nobler theme of sibling love as well as old school versus new school. But there was one course of action that could have obvoiusly been taken, like call the cops...but that would have cut the movie short...

The ensemble is quite a motley crew. They all did their jobs. But we all know who the real stars were: the automobiles, babeee!!

3

cast/acting

5

The cast and interplay between the characters were above average. And it would be hard to forget the other stars, the cars!

Camera angles showcasing those car chases were quite good. And the cars did an excellent job posing.

cinematography

Great settings, good soundtrack, excellent car chases

A bit of violence, a little sex. Nothing too fancy.

4

the good stuff: like sex and violence

4

Angelina was under-used, but the sweet cars take the cake!

A bit on the cheesy side, but it'll do.

3

ending

4

I actually liked the ending, and thought it better than average.

It fits the stereotype of action/adventure. There was lots action…and the characters were really adventurous! Hehehe…

Defintely ranks high on the action/summer-blockbuster genre.
