Mediocre. The previews weren't all that great and the premise of the movie was kinda corny. |

I'm not really a Jim Carrey fan. Though I liked him in "In Living Color," I found the characters that he played from movie to movie began to all look the same. Goofy, stupid, idiotic. Just do something wacky and the crowd will love it type thing. But too much wacky made me sicky. |
There were some dull parts to the movie, but the silliness and humour following them sorta made up for the dullness |

The pace moved along nicely. Jumping from character to character, Carrey kept me on the edge of my toes as I tried to keep track of how each character developed. |
Original, but not that exciting. |

The story line, simplistic and predictable, depended a lot on Carrey's performance and gag-a-minute type crowd pleasers. |
It was okay. No Oscar nominations here, but the characters were all good for a laugh. |

Carrey all the way. Carrey held up his end, playing the difficult role of not one, but two characters! And he pulled it off well! Of honorable mention are the paradoxical sons, the black hoodlum-like geniuses. |
Some shots made the movie look low-budget. Or maybe that was the location itself that was low-budget?? |

Nothing special to report here. Rhode Island does look nice. I want to visit it someday. |
Heavy on sexual and biological content. But you can't help but laugh. |

the good stuff: like sex and violence |

Just the usual Carrey and Farrelly antics. Renee's nipples stick out like a sort thumb a la Baywatch a lot of times, and the chicken anal sex made me laugh and feel pain at the same time. |
I've seen better Jim Carrey movies. Come to think of it, I've seen way better comedies. But "Me, Myself and Irene" has a charm all its own. |

It holds its own, but nothing out of the ordinary. |
