initial expectations

(2) Simple. Trailers weren't too enticing.

(4) I love martial arts, therefore I love Jackie Chan! :)

pace

(4) I'm not exaggerating when I say that there was no dull moment in the film. Well, except for the credits in the introduction. Does that count??

(5) High flying kicking action 24/7...All the time, rain or shine!

plot/story

(4) You know how it's all gonna end, but the twists and turns on the way are pretty decent.

(5) This is a martial arts flick with an actual story other than the "You kill my [fill in person, like teacher, here], so I'm gonna get my revenge" plots of other fighting movies.

cast/acting

(4) Excellent cast!! As for Jackie Chan's acting, I don't know if he should even be judged for his acting. I mean, the guy's an awesome martial artist already!! Who needs to act, really? ( Well, if I really have to say, then I guess Keanu does. Sure, he's hot and all. But he's no Jackie Chan.) But that guy, Owen Wilson whatshisface? Now who is this guy and where's he been? His flair for acting really shone through in this film!! This guy's gonna go far…with or without Jackie Chan. And he's not a looker or anything like that…So you know the compliment's for real!!

(5) The last couple Jackie Chan flicks had me disappointed with his martial arts. I simply thought the man was getting old. Not so in this movie. He's back to his old fine form. And, Owen, his pardner in crime, was an excellent co-star and character foil. Great fun from watching this cast!

good stuff

(4) Hi-yah, hee-yah...chop chop.

(5) The goods are delivered via Jackie Chan's control over his body! Add in the cinematography that captures the beautiful landscape of the "Wild Wild West!" and you've got a one entertaining package.

overall

(4) Simply a great movie...for all ages!

(5) As an action and martial arts comedy flick, this one is near the tops! I think I'll be getting the DVD when it comes out!
