initial expectations

(3) The previews were too vague for my liking. I didn't quite get what the movie was about. So I wasn't too excited about seeing it.

(4) High-tech gadgets and some slick martial arts...I can't resist!

pace

(4) Whoa, slow down, cowboy! This movie is fast!

(4) The movie moved quickly; however, I did find that at times, the movie seemed to slow. Scenes where they were trying to build tension and/or dramatic effect did not work well. They could have cut a couple of minutes here and there, and still end up with a dynamic film.

plot/story

(3) Well, it's complicated, I'll say that much. It has a few holes and inconsistencies but overall, it's decent.

(4) I loved it. It's James Bond meets Enemy of the State meets Jet Li. A little complicated sometimes, a little easy at other times, but together make for a fine story.

cast/acting

(4) Go, Wesley, go! This guy played spy turned fugitive to a tee. And may I add that the tee he was wearing really showed off his physique. Oh, and Marie Matiko was pretty good, too.

(5) The original lead was to be played by martial arts phenom Jet Li himself. However, after watching this movie, Wesley Snipes is definitely the right choice. He has clearly improved his fighting skills, and he can act to boot! The other actors were good, except... Michael Biehn as Bly... not convincing enough for me.

good stuff

(4) Great action sequences and a decent plot containing twists and turns make this movie enriched with some good stuff.

(5) This is how James Bond should be like. Too bad this spy can't charm the women like Agent 007; or perhaps it's because there was a lack of hot women in this movie for Wesley to get it on!

overall

(4) I can say that you'll get your money's worth by seeing it full price.

(4) Watch out Bond, here comes Wesley! I don't regret paying full price to see this movie!
