Quickie: A renowned soldier develops a bad case of conscience and vows never to fight or kill in battle again…until his stubborn son disobeys him, enlists in the war, and brings the battle a wee bit too close to home. So Daddy'o is forced to suit up again to keep the lad (and the rest of his family for that matter) alive. He could've just grounded the kid, you know.
Turn-Ons:
- Awesome plot. We were on the edge of our seats awaiting the next scene every time.
- Great acting from the entire cast! You'll laugh, you'll cry; you'll feel almost every range of emotion.
- The cinematography was really good. We're talkin' the costume design, choreography, camera shots, background colours, everything!
- The action scenes were way cool! They look so real, you'd squirm in your seat! And the best part? You'll be so glad you're not one of those bloody people on the screen achin' and breakin'.
- Almost perfect in terms of entertainment value. Yup, a movie that you can actually afford to pay full price for and not regret it.
Turn-Offs:
- Too much blood. Good thing people are sitting while watching the movie.
- Though Mel Gibson's character is a fictionalized persona of a real patriot figure, this movie tries to tie in closely with real events. And for that, it understandably gets criticized for historical inaccuracies. But this should not bother 99% of the general movie watching population who aren't history profs.
